Karmine Corp, Fnatic and Movistar KOI feature in our team of the week
The second week of the Winter Split 2025 regular season in the LEC came to an end Monday, and this time we have three undefeated teams (3-0 week) who are also sharing the top of the standings: Karmine Corp, Fnatic and Movistar KOI. These teams are actually playing the best League of Legends in Europe due to players who are performing at their best and showing what they are capable of. Here is our selection of the best European players, Sheep Esports' LEC Team of the Week for Week 2.
Top: Canna
Kim "Canna" Chang-dong is simply the best toplaner of the LEC this week. He delivered a flawless performance throughout the week, starting with an unkillable Gragas against Janik "JNX" Bartels, clutching the decisive teamfight with an amazing ultimate. The day after, Canna picked his famous Jayce, Adam "Adam" Maanane and Rogue could do nothing but watch him at work, leading KC to their second win of the week. The Korean import showed his versatility during the last game by picking Gnar, serving his team for the greater good. These three perfect performances have made Canna indisputably our MVP of the second week, he is definitely satisfying the expectations fans have for a player of his class.
Jungle: Elyoya
The Spanish player is clearly one of the best junglers in Europe, Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla is assuming his role of veteran of the team, leading it to a perfect week. The first game against GIANTX was tough, Elyoya and his teammates went to the 39th minute to win the game, with 80% of kill participation on his Vi, the jungler was a key player of this game. Second game against BDS was easier for the Spanish team, Elyoya's comfort on AP champions gives KOI more options to make drafts simpler, his Zyra was everywhere, making the game impossible to win for Doğukan "113" Balcı and BDS. The last match was the most one-sided game of the week. On another Vi, he perfectly managed the advantage KOI had, sealing the game before SK Gaming could show anything (5K gold ahead at 21 minutes)
Mid: Vladi
Another Karmine Corp player in this LEC Team of the Week for Week 2, and it's Vladimiros "Vladi" Kourtidis. 16/1/16 for Vladi's Viktor in his last two games against Rogue and Team Heretics. He was in the right place at the right time, making Martin "Yike" Sundelin's work in the river way easier. The third game was a lesson for the freshly arriving midlaner Kamil "Kamiloo" Haudegond. The Greek midlaner made the game easier for himself and his team, by collecting a double kill in the second minute. The lane was just free for KC, so was the game.
ADC: Upset
Elias "Upset" Lipp proved that he was a top tier ADC in the LEC, being constant is one of his biggest qualities, Upset picked his Ezreal and delivered a good performance during the Match of the Week against G2 Esports, securing the win in this important game. The German AD Carry was by far the MVP of the third game against BDS, he was the main win condition of Fnatic and participated in 100% of the 16 kills of his team. He was certainly the cornerstone of his team during this week, allowing them be on top of the league.
Support: Alvaro
Movistar KOI’s performances have a lot to do with their jungle-support synergy, so its an evidence to have them both in this Team of the Week. Álvaro "Alvaro" Fernández played three tanks, a Braum against GX, a Leona in opposition to Polat "Parus" Furkan Çiçek's Rell and BDS. Finishing the week with a solid Nautilus vs SK Gaming, he was involved in 14 of the 17 kills MKOI got, peeling to the death for his carries. Alvaro is undoubtably one the best support in the LEC, showing great improvements after his promising 2024 rookie year.
