Caedrel Currently Ranked Diamond 4 in Solo Queue
Los Ratones are offering their fans a small trip down memory lane this Wednesday at 6 PM CET. The team announced that Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, the founder and Head Coach of the organization, who retired since November 2020, will take to the Rift for the day’s opening NLC best-of-one against DMG Esports. However, the former midlaner, who later transitioned to jungle during his playing career, will this time appear in the botlane. The British streamer, currently ranked Diamond 4 in Solo Queue, will be playing as support—a role he has already experimented with during Los Ratones’ scrims before the arrival of Martin “Rekkles” Larsson.
Caedrel will not be pairing up with Juš "Crownie" Marušič for this match. Instead, Rekkles will temporarily return to the role that made him a household name: AD Carry. A four-time EU LCS champion, Rekkles transitioned to the support role in 2024 with T1 Esports Academy in the LCK CL. He returned to Europe this season to represent Los Ratones. The organization has not provided an official reason for this lineup adjustment, but this botlane duo won't remain for the team’s second match of the evening against Verdant, scheduled for 9 PM CET.
30 wins, 3 losses
Los Ratones, reigning back-to-back EMEA Masters and NLC champions, currently enjoy a significant competitive edge over their opponents. The team has claimed victory in 30 of their 33 official matches this season. They dominated both NLC splits, dropping just a single series across both and sweeping NORD Esports 3–0 in each of the grand finals.
Los Ratones and DMG Esports have already faced each other twice this season in best-of-threes—both times in the opening round of the upper bracket playoffs—with DMG failing to take even a single Nexus in either series. If DMG hopes to pull off an upset this time around, their best shot may lie in leaving Malzahar open.
