Cuzz will be reunited with Bdd
After a sabbatical year with Freecs, Mun “Cuzz” U-chan is making his return to KT Rolster. The organization announced on Thursday that the jungler has signed a three-year contract with the team, through 2027. Cuzz’s first stint with KT had a mixed start. In 2022, the team placed 7th in the LCK Spring Split before improving slightly to finish 5th in the Summer Split. However, changes made before the 2023 season yielded significant results.
Before joining Gen.G’s nearly unstoppable LCK roster in 2024, Freecs duo Kim “Kiin” Ki-in and Son “Lehends” Si-woo had first joined KT for the 2023 season. That roster also included midlaner Gwak “Bdd” Bo-sung, who will reunite with Cuzz this season. With this lineup, KT achieved their best LCK performances since 2018, finishing 3rd in both splits, including a stellar Summer Split. KT ended the regular season with an exceptional 17-1 record, cementing their position as one of the world’s top teams at the time, before losing two Telecom Wars to T1 during the playoffs.
Three-time LCK champion
All five players, including Cuzz, were named to the All-LCK First Team for Summer 2023. KT secured a spot at Worlds—the second of Cuzz’s career after his 2017 debut—by winning the Regional Finals. However, their journey ended in the quarterfinals against the formidable JD Gaming, still on their way to completing the Golden Road at that time. This wasn't Cuzz's best international result, as the jungler had reached the MSI finals in 2018, with Kingzone DragonX. Cuzz had also won the first two LCK splits he took part in, in the Summer of 2017 and Spring of 2018.
Cuzz claimed his third LCK title in the Spring of 2020 during his tenure with T1. While he has consistently been one of the league’s top junglers since then, he has yet to add another title to his collection. He is the fourth player confirmed by KT for the upcoming season, joining Bdd, Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil, and Han “Way” Gil, as announced by the team. In 2024, KT spent much of the season overshadowed by the league’s dominant trio: Gen.G, T1, and Hanwha Life Esports. KT finished 5th in both splits, even falling behind Dplus KIA.
