The Equal Esports Cup hosts 8 invited teams and 4 from Open Qualifiers
The Equal Esports Cup (EEC) is a competitive tournament aimed at promoting gender diversity and representation within the League of Legends esports scene. Returning for its third edition in 2025, the EEC is bigger and bolder than ever, featuring a revamped format, more matches, and a €10,000 prize pool. It showcases the best all-women and marginalized gender teams from across Europe. The 2025 Equal Esports Cup kicks off with Open Qualifiers on May 17–18, followed by the Main Event group stage from July 1–9, the playoffs starting July 22, and concludes with its Grand Finals at Gamescom in late August.

As one of the premier tournaments in inclusive esports, the EEC will feature eight invited teams and four teams from Open Qualifiers, resulting in an intense competition that includes a group stage and a double-elimination playoffs bracket. Among the confirmed participants are G2 Hel, Galions Pearl, Solary Academy, SK Avarosa, Vitality Rising Bees, Las Divinas (considered the spiritual successor to the former MAD Lions KOI Feminino), WLG Female Stars, and Nexus Reapers, the new team formed by renowned mid-jungle duo of Alena "TIFA" Maurer and Agnė "Karina" Ivaškevičiūtė. Last year’s winners, NNOwO, will not be returning after disbanding, with their players having joined other rosters.
