After the Season Finals, the LCP will hold a promotion tournament with bottom teams and minor league champions
The LCP returns on July 26 for the Summer Split, now called the Season Finals. This year, the Pacific league made solid showings internationally, both at the First Stand and the Mid-Season Invitational, largely thanks to CTBC Flying Oyster. The region has looked strong and is no longer seen as the weakest in the Riot Games circuit—especially in light of the LEC's underwhelming MSI run. The league is now set to resume and determine which teams will represent the region at Worlds 2025 in China.
Eight teams will compete in the Season Finals. The top four teams from Mid Season are seeded into the Contender Group, while the bottom four go to the Breakout Group. Each group plays a single round-robin, with all matches being best-of-three. After that, 4th place from the Contender Group faces 1st from the Breakout Group, and 3rd from Contender faces 2nd from Breakout.
Winners move up to the Contender Group for Phase 2, while losers drop to the Breakout Group. Phase 2 features a double-elimination bracket within each group. At the end of it, all teams from the Contender Group and the top two from the Breakout Group will qualify for the Playoffs.
LCP Up and Down
There will be two promotion tournaments to determine who qualifies for the LCP 2026. The first is the Regional Merit bracket, a best-of-five, single-elimination match between two teams: the lowest-ranked guest team from a region with multiple guest spots in the 2025 Season Finals, and the regional champion from that same region. The winner qualifies for LCP 2026, while the loser returns to their regional league.
The second is the Free for All bracket, featuring five teams: champions from three regions not involved in the Regional Merit system, the lowest-ranked guest team from the 2025 Season Finals, and the LCP Wildcard champion. Only the winning team qualifies for LCP 2026; the others return to their respective regions.
The LCP will return on July 26 with two best-of-three series: MGN Vikings Esports vs. DetonatioN FocusMe, followed by Team Secret Whales vs. PSG Talon. Day two features a major clash between GAM Esports and CTBC Flying Oyster. This split will also include 1v1s for side selection, with new champion picks like Akali, Bard, Nidalee, and Zed.
Several roster changes have been made for this final split. Most notably, Chu "FoFo" Chun-lan has departed, while Huang "Maple" Yi-Tang returns to the midlane for PSG Talon. The Chiefs have also made multiple adjustments to their lineup. Finally, the last two days of the LCP will be played in Da Nang, Vietnam, on September 20–21, as previously announced by the league.
