After a year in the PCS with the Flying Oysters, veteran Karsa is joining PSG Talon
PSG Talon have officially announced their new jungler, Hung "Karsa" Hao-Hsuan, on their social media. At 27 years old, the highly experienced player, who reached great heights in the LPL in recent years, will remain in the APAC region after returning last year. Karsa will compete in the inaugural 2025 season of the new LCP league. He is set to replace Yu "JunJia" Chun-Chia in PSG Talon’s roster, aiming to help the team maintain their dominant status in the region.
Karsa began his career in the LMS, the league encompassing Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, playing with the Flash Wolves from 2015 to 2017. During his time with the team, he claimed four LMS titles, participated in the MSI twice, and competed at Worlds three times, reaching the quarterfinals in 2015. That year, his team dominated their group and even secured two wins against Song "Smeb" Kyung-ho's KOO Tigers.
His regional prominence led him to the LPL, joining RNG, the greatest powerhouse of the league at the time. Alongside Li "Xiaohu" Yuan-Hao in the midlane, Karsa became part of a roster that secured two LPL titles and won the MSI in 2018. However, after a less successful 2019, he transitioned to Top Esports in 2020, teaming up with Knight. Over two years with TES, Karsa helped the team clinch their first (and only) LPL title in Summer 2020 and advanced to the semifinals at Worlds, ultimately falling to Suning, the tournament's dark horse. A disappointing 2021 saw him move to Victory Five in 2022, where he partnered with Song "Rookie" Eui-jin. Despite strong domestic performances, the team failed to qualify for Worlds.
After an unsuccessful year, Karsa joined Weibo Gaming for the Spring Split of 2023 but did not play during the Summer Split. Following a sabbatical, he returned to his roots by joining the CTBC Flying Oyster in the PCS. Finishing 3rd and 4th in consecutive splits, he now joins PSG Talon, the team that dominated the league throughout the year. With this move, Karsa aims to return to the international stage, once again representing his home region with a fresh opportunity to compete at the highest level.
PSG gaining experience
Karsa joins PSG Talon in a period of rebuilding, following the departure of their star jungler JunJia, who secured four PCS titles in as many splits, and their midlaner Huang "Maple" Yi-Tang, who recently announced his retirement. The arrival of a veteran like Karsa is expected to fill this gap perfectly, offering the team the stability and experience needed to maintain their dominance. Despite entering a new league, the LCP, with several new challengers to overcome, PSG Talon retains the status of the strongest team to beat. The organization has been a dominant force in the PCS, winning seven of the nine splits they participated in since joining in Summer 2020 and securing four appearances at Worlds.
Currently, only Lu "Betty" Yu-Hung and Huang "Azhi" Shang-Jhih remain under contract until the end of 2025 and are expected to stay on the roster unless further changes are announced.
