Smeb make his return as Content Creator in HLE
Song "Smeb" Kyung-ho is coming home, or almost. Hanwha Life Esports, the organization that acquired ROX Tigers' slot in 2018, has announced the arrival of the toplaner as Content Creator. It was with the Tigers that Smeb largely distinguished himself during his career, he is thus returning to familiar territory by joining HLE.
Beyond just making a good impression, Smeb has established himself as a legend of the LCK, and even of League of Legends in general. Throughout his various teams, the former Korean toplaner won several LCK titles and achieved a second-place finish at the Worlds after losing to his nemesis SKT.
World's best Fiora
However, it is with the Tigers that Smeb made his most significant mark, leaving a lasting impact with his legendary picks such as Riven, Rumble, but especially Fiora, one of the most respected one in the world at the time. Notably, in 2016, the Korean toplaner had one of the most remarkable performances in a single season. After dominating the entire season, finishing 1st in the regular Spring season, 2nd in the Playoffs, 1st in the regular Summer season, winning the Playoffs and securing both MVP titles this year, Smeb had such an outstanding season that he achieved something historic: he claimed the #1 spot in the Top 20 Worlds Players ranking published by LoL Esports, leaving Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok “only” in 2nd place. Smeb is also the 6th player and the 1st toplaner in LCK history to reach 1000 kills.
HLE is betting on a well-known face from the Korean and international scene for its new content creator, a recruitment that has been highly praised by the community since its announcement. It is possible that Smeb will do some content about the First Stand in which HLE is taking part after having won the LCK Cup.
