Five different teams featured in our Team of the Week
The third week of the LEC comes to a close with a few pleasant surprises. Team Heretics are turning heads both in results and in gameplay — they took down Team BDS and came close to toppling Karmine Corp, who finish the week with a solid 2-0 and now top the standings with four wins. G2 Esports and Fnatic got the job done against Rogue and Team Vitality, trailing just behind KC with three victories. BDS, on the other hand, delivered a disappointing 0-2 week, falling to both Heretics and Movistar KOI. Rogue now sit at the bottom of the standings with just one win and four losses.
The Sheep Esports' LEC Team of the Week features Carl "Carlsen" Carlsen in the toplane, Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla in the jungle, Marek "Humanoid" Brázda in midlane, with Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert and Labros "Labrov" Papoutsakis joining forces in the botlane.
Top: Carlsen
First appearance in a Team of the Week for Heretics’ young toplaner — the 19-year-old Danish player delivered a strong showing despite a few mistakes in the second game vs. Karmine Corp. Against BDS, Carlsen was a difference-maker. He showed solid form on Ambessa in the opening game, then followed up with a strong performance on Aurora, even in defeat. Monday, his Gnar against KC stood out with a clean 4/0/8 scoreline. Only his final game of the week on Aatrox fell slightly short — despite a good early start, Heretics couldn’t capitalize on their lead. They end the week 1-1, but with plenty of positives and a solid foundation to build on for the rest of the split.
Jungle: Elyoya
Movistar KOI delivered a flawless Bo3 against BDS, and much of that success came from their captain and jungler, Elyoya. He played Ivern to near perfection in the first game, finishing with a 0/2/18 scoreline and 100% kill participation. His shielding and utility allowed his carries — including Alex "Myrwn" Pastor Villarejo on Varus — to play aggressively without fear, effectively making them unkillable. KOI controlled the tempo from start to finish, cruising to a clean win. Game 2 saw Elyoya take on a much more proactive role with Xin Zhao, where he dominated the map, ending 8/0/8. He even pulled off a highlight play, flashing in with a well-timed Q to delete the opposing midlaner. It was a series that showcased both Elyoya’s versatility and leadership, setting the tone for KOI’s resurgence.
Mid: Humanoid
Fnatic’s comeback in Game 1 against Vitality was largely driven by Humanoid’s late-game impact on Aurelion Sol. Once he hit his scaling point, the sheer zone control and damage output from the Star Forger forced Vitality to retreat, paving the way for Fnatic to secure the win. In Game 2, the midlaner opted for a more measured approach on Yone — a quieter, more controlled performance that slowly built up over time. The game remained tight until after the 20-minute mark, but Humanoid once again stepped up, finishing as his team’s top damage dealer and helping Fnatic lock in their third win of the split.
ADC: Caliste
It was a good week for Karmine Corp and their rookie ADC, Caliste, who made a strong statement from day one. Against SK Gaming, the French prodigy completely outclassed his lane opponent, finishing the series with a combined 19/0/17 scoreline. His Miss Fortune performance in particular, stood out — with 92% kill participation and an impressive 11.9 CS per minute, Caliste was untouchable. The second Bo3 of the week proved more challenging for KC, but once again, Caliste rose to the occasion. On Kai’Sa, he delivered another standout performance, ending the game with a 10/4/10 KDA and dishing out over 45,000 damage to Heretics, further cementing his place as one of the most exciting rookies of the split.
Support: Labrov
Labrov’s Winter Split with G2 was far from smooth, but it seems the adjustment period is finally paying off. The Greek support put on a strong showing against Rogue this weekend, playing Rakan in Game 1 and Alistar in Game 2. Both games were drawn out, and Labrov’s utility on these engage-heavy champions proved crucial in securing the wins. His synergy with Steven "Hans Sama" Liv in lane is visibly improving, and the connection with his jungler is steadily taking shape — promising signs for G2 as the split progresses.
