With only four losses and 16 wins, Los Heretics secure their third consecutive title
Los Heretics (LH) claimed the 2025 Superliga Winter Split title after defeating Barça eSports 3-1 in the grand final. As a result, they will enter the 2025 EMEA Masters Winter as Superliga’s first seed, with the tournament kicking off on Monday, March 17. This marks LH’s third consecutive title, showcasing their continued dominance despite a complete roster overhaul from 2024. Polish jungler Kacper "Daglas" Dagiel was named MVP of the final, pulling out a pick that has been rising in popularity in solo queue—Darius Jungle.
A dominant split and a decisive final performance
The Los Heretics' final was as dominant as their split. Although they dropped Game 1, they quickly bounced back and overwhelmed Barca eSports with off-meta picks in nearly every game. Jan "SAJATOR" Zítek brought out Sion mid in Game 2, while Daglas surprised with a Darius jungle in Game 3, and then delivered a stellar Lee Sin performance in the final game. Paweł "Czekolad" Szczepanik and his teammates had no answer to the unstoppable Los Heretics.
A mix of rookies and experienced players
The roster built by the organization has everything it takes to succeed. The toplaner, Sebastian "Tracyn" Wojtoń, is only 19, as is Daglas, while Sajator is 20. The botlane, on the other hand, has more experience, with 22-year-old Algerian AD Carry Khalil "Rin" Sahraoui, who has already competed in the Arabian League for a few splits, and the veteran support Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser, a double LEC champion. This great mix of youth and experience has led them to dominate the Spanish championship. All the Los Heretics players are included in the Team of the Winter Split, except for the support, Kaiser.
While the team performs excellently on the national stage, it’s at the EMEA Masters where they continue to struggle. The Spring 2024 edition was a major disappointment, with the team failing to make it out of the group stage. However, the Summer edition was much better. Los Heretics managed to reach the semifinals, only to fall 3-0 to the eventual champions, BDS Academy. From this roster, Danish toplaner Carl Ulsted "Carlsen" Carlsen even made it to the LEC with the main team.
Today, the team's ambitions are clear: to go as far as possible in the EMEA Masters 2025 Winter Split and even finish ahead of the 15 other teams competing, aiming to lift the second EMEA Masters title in the organization's history, following their victory in the Summer 2022 edition.
