Way won every title in the LCK CL in 2024 with KT and has signed a three-year contract with the team
It has been officialized this Wednesday: rising support Han "Way" Gil will join KT Rolster’s starting roster for the 2025 season. Following a dominant year in the LCK CL, his promotion comes as a natural step after Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee's officialization at Dplus KIA. He has signed with the team for the next three seasons.
KT to rise from the ashes
After a lackluster year despite assembling a star-studded roster, KT Rolster is now seeking fresh talent to turn their fortunes around. The impressive lineup built around Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong at the start of 2024 failed to deliver, resulting in back-to-back fifth-place finishes and missing out on Worlds qualification, losing the fourth seed to T1 in the Regional Finals. The offseason has brought further shakeups, with Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu retiring for mandatory military service, Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee returning to Dplus KIA, and Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon joining KDF.
Now entering yet another rebuilding phase, KT must once again construct a roster around their cornerstone, the ever-reliable Bdd, who has already re-signed through 2026, alongside Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min who was promoted this year from LCK CL to the LCK roster. Between swirling rumors, Way is the first confirmed addition to the LCK roster, earning a promotion from the LCK CL team. The ADC comes from a squad that dominated 2024, winning both splits as well as the Asia Star Challengers Invitational, achieving the Challengers League equivalent of a golden road. At 22, Way could represent the club's future, having been a part of KT since his professional debut with KT Academy in late 2020. Solidifying his commitment, he has signed a three-year contract with the organization.
