Beyond Battle: Fashion Meets Pokémon
The American streetwear brand and gaming organization, 100 Thieves, has announced a collaboration with The Pokémon Company. A collection consisting of 16 pieces inspired by the colors of Pokémon will be available for purchase on February 10, 2024.
This isn't the first time the brand has teamed up with a Japanese company. In 2022, 100 thieves released a collection in collaboration with the manga Attack of the Titans.
Among the 16 expected pieces, 6 will be a bit more unique:
- Knit Cardigan featuring Charmander
- Charizard Corduroy Pants
- Pikachu Sherpa Pullover
- Bulbasaur Technical Vest
- Pikachu Varsity Jacket
Expect also a Blastoise jacket, Pokémon-themed hoodies such as Gengar, and several t-shirts.
This is not the first partnership of The Pokémon Company in the fashion and esports industries. In December 2023, they teamed up with the brand Highground to release a whole collection of keyboards and mouse pads featuring the first 151 Pokémon.
On the fashion side, a tripartite partnership between Pokémon, the Japanese streetwear brand Fragment Design, and the luxury haute couture brand Fendi offered us at the beginning of the year a physical and digital collection (available on the Pokémon Go shop) that honors the evolutionary line of the first semi-legendary of the license, Dragonite.
