113 has already played in LEC in 2023, with Astralis
The Team BDS roster is now complete. According to Sheep Esports sources, Doğukan “113” Balcı has reached a verbal agreement to join the Swiss organization ahead of the upcoming LEC season. Also considered by GIANTX, the former Karmine Corp Blue jungler will join mid laner Ilias “nuc” Bizriken and AD carry Yoon “Ice” Sang-hoon, both of whom have also verbally agreed to extend their contracts with the club, as reported by Sheep Esports last Sunday. 113 will also team up with another offseason recruit, top laner Joël “Irrelevant” Scharoll, and with support Polat “Parus” Furkan Çiçek, who is set to be promoted from BDS Academy, also as reported by Sheep Esports.
This marks the second time the Turkish jungler leaves the Blue Wall and the LFL to compete at the highest level of League of Legends EMEA competition. His first stint came in 2023 when he joined Astralis, a team that couldn’t realistically hope to finish higher than the middle of the pack. This time around, 113 could have a greater impact on the LEC. Team BDS were among the LEC’s top contenders in 2024, securing third place across all three splits and finishing fourth in the Season Finals. By retaining two players, BDS are positioning themselves for another strong run at the top of the table.
Spring's Top LFL Jungler
113 is widely regarded as one of the best junglers in the ERL. Renowned for his unrelenting, aggressive playstyle, he was a driving force behind Karmine Corp's third consecutive EMEA Masters title in the Spring of 2022, during his first stint with the team. Despite a strong individual showing during his time at Astralis, 113 returned to the LFL for the Spring 2024 split following Astralis’ sale of their LEC slot to Karmine. Playing for BK ROG Esports, 113 had an outstanding split, recording the highest Sheep Esports Rating (68/100) among all junglers in the league.
Following Linas “Lyncas” Nauncikas' departure to Team Vitality, 113 reclaimed his spot with Karmine Corp for the LFL 2024 Summer Split. Although he didn’t add any new trophies to his cabinet, his performance remained solid and true to his signature style. Beloved by fans, 113 frequently expresses his gratitude in post-match interviews. At BDS, he will replace Théo “Sheo” Borile, who, as previously reported by Sheep Esports, is expected to join Team Heretics.
