Last in the spring segment, Klanik Esports changes its five players for the summer
After a particularly difficult spring in LFL Division 2, Klanik Esports is changing everything. Five new players arrive for the summer split with the aim of doing better than the previous roster. According to Sheep Esports sources, toplaner Ilias "C7" Mebarki, jungler Jordan “jokaa” Ochs, midlaner Kim “Phantomles” Storm, AD Carry Eid “Aklass” Alazmi and support Batuhan “Kibah” Kibar have reached a verbal agreement with the team.
On the toplane, C7 joins his first professional team. Up to now, the 17-year-old has made his mark on the various stages of the Nexus Tour in 2023 with Omerix and then in 2024 with Pandore Esport. Regarded as one of the potential future stars of the French toplane, the young prodigy has only just begun his ascent with a team in full reconstruction. He will inevitably be one of the attractions of the summer segment.
Phantomles has to bounce back
To support him, C7 can count on four relatively experienced teammates. Starting with Phantomles: the Swede is very familiar with LFL Division 2, winning it in the spring of 2023 with Team du Sud. This title enabled him to return to ERL 1 and join GamerLegion in the Prime League. Having already been in the German league with Penta 1860 and SK Gaming Prime earlier in his career, the midlaner didn't shine there this time around and dropped back down to LFL Division 2 for the spring 2024 segment. Results were again mixed, with a missed play-off qualification with Lille Esport.
Jokaa, Aklass, and Kibah have been touring the European scene for several years. The first one recently took part in the EMEA Masters with GLORE for the first time in his career after finishing second in the Hitpoint Masters spring split. However, Jokaa failed to emerge from the play-in. Aklass narrowly missed out on qualification for the preliminary round of the same EMEA Masters by finishing third in the Arabian League with FOX Gaming. Finally, Kibah has been playing FUT Esports in TCL (Turkey) since January. Like Phantomles at Penta 1860 and YDN Esports (PGL, Italy), Kibah has already won an ERL 1 title, the Northern League (NLC), in spring 2023.
