Czajek will be the second player that Vitality promote this season
For those paying close attention, there was a subtle hint during the inhouse. According to Sheep Esports sources, Mateusz "Czajek" Czajka has reached a verbal agreement to be promoted to Vitality's LEC team for the next season. The midlaner from Vitality's Academy team in the LFL has been chosen over Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer, who was also a strong option. In fact, the Polish player has been a potential candidate for an LEC promotion for several seasons now.
Vitality and all its staff highly value the French team's academy project. For this reason, they have already agreed to promote their academy Toplaner Naak Nako in the past, as they value the development of their academy players.
Czajek joined Misfits in 2022 as a promising talent after winning the Ultraliga with PDW. He then moved to Vitality Bee in 2023, where the roster was built around his jungler at the time, Kacper “Daglas” Dagiel. After a relatively quiet first season, he returned to form in the Summer of 2024. Though overshadowed this season by BDS Academy and Karmine Corp Blue, Daglas’ return to the team in summer 2024 helped secure a solid third-place finish for Vitality Bee.
EMEA Masters Runner-Up
While the Bees owe much of their strong second half of the season to their botlane, Czajek delivered some standout performances, particularly with his Azir, or with a notable showing against KC during the regular season. Vitality Bee also made it to the EMEA Masters final this Summer split, though they were ultimately defeated—just as they had been in the LFL playoffs a few weeks earlier—by a dominant BDSA team that was unbeatable this year.
In the LEC, Czajek will replace Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié. Vitality’s LEC team had another disappointing year, similar to their 2023 season. Despite a promising start, they collapsed in Summer 2024, finishing 9th. As a result, they missed out on the Season Finals and lost their chance to compete at Worlds.
