After a successful year together, the duo plans to dominate the VCL Spain.
Coach Cristian "Future" Duarte and IGL Alexandr "falltw" Chernukhin have reached verbal agreements with ZETA to join the team in the VALORANT Challengers Spain: Rising (VCL), according to Sheep Esports sources. Having previously competed together under the banner of Team RA'AD, the two are set to join the Spanish VCL in 2024.
Different Origins, One Goal
After achieving decent results in 2023, ZETA is now aiming to acquire strong pillars for its new roster. Undertaking significant moves in the off-season, including joining the LVP SuperLiga in League of Legends, the Zaragoza-based organization aspires to firmly establish itself among the premier organizations in the Iberian peninsula.
In the most recent competitive year, the team secured a 7th-place finish in the 1st split of the Spanish VCL, but demonstrated notable improvement in the 2nd split, culminating in a 4th-place finish.
With the addition of Cristian "Future" Duarte, the team is securing one of the most experienced coaches currently on the local market. Previously coaching teams like RA'AD and 19esports, he won numerous tournaments during his tenures, but his coaching history extends beyond those. Prior to his involvement in VALORANT, Future was most known for coaching UCAM Esports Club in League of Legends, with whom he remained for three years, obtaining valuable coaching experience in another discipline.
On the other hand, although Alexandr "falltw" Chernukhin initially came from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the Russian player has established his reputation in VALORANT. First debuting his career around the start of 2020, falltw competed for many small teams in his home region prior to becoming known. In 2022, the IGL would find his first professional tenure by joining Case Esports. With his team, he would go on to represent Spain at the VRL 2022 Finals, ending in 3rd position in the tournament after having won his regional league.
Together, after having finished as runner-ups of the MENA VCL and having competed in the VCT 2023 EMEA Ascension tournament, the duo is now set on extending their past successes.
