EMEA Masters champion
Mauro "Garih" Garih Vidal is set to make his LEC debut with SK Gaming next year as an Assistant Coach, according to sources of Sheep Esports. Having won both the LFL championship and EU Masters this summer, Garih had interest from two other LEC teams going into the 2025 season — in the end, he chose SK Gaming partially because of the expectation that the German organization will have the strongest roster of his options.
Of the BDS Roster that put up a dominant performance in the ERL's this summer, Garih is the second to be promoted to the LEC — last month, Sheep Esports reported that Polat "Parus" Furkan Çiçek, BDSA's support, will be promoted to the BDS LEC roster for 2025.
SK Gaming's LEC roster has been an enigma all year. After replacing sophomore bot lane duo Thomas "Exakick" Foucou and Mads "Doss" Schwartz with Korean bot lane duo Cho "Rahel" Min-Seong and Lee "Luon" Hyun-Ho, the team achieved a shocking first place finish in the Summer regular season. As their opponents ramped up in the Summer playoffs and Season Finals, however, the team fell to disappointing 5th place finishes to end their season.
David "OWN3R" Rodriguez de la Torre, former assistant coach for SK, is expected to move into the Head Coach position of Simon "Swiffer" Papamarkos, who is departing the organization. As SK looks to finalize next year's, Sheep Esports will keep you informed of their decisions.
