The player was let go by MAD Lions without buyout
Support Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov has reached a verbal agreement with Team Vitality in the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC), sources tell Sheep Esports on Tuesday. Despite a nine-year-long career, VIT is only the fourth organization that the 28-year-old veteran will be joining. The full list will now be Unicorns Of Love, Fnatic, MAD Lions and Team Vitality.
A year with the lions
Hylissang will be departing from MAD Lions after a year and two international appearances with the organization. MAD Lions notably secured the title in the LEC 2023 Spring Playoffs. Despite those results, Support Álvaro "Alvaro" Fernández del Amo will be taking over the spot left by Hyli' in 2024.
While Hylissang is still under contract with MAD Lions until the end of 2024, this acquisition was much facilitated by Hylissang's former organization. Indeed, MAD Lions allowed their players to explore options right after Worlds without a buyout. This means that Vitality paid no fee for acquiring the Bulgarian star.
Vitality 2024
Vitality has taken the time to thoroughly explore various options during the offseason. For instance, the French team considered support Théo "Zoelys" Le Scornec; however, indications suggest that the player is likely joining another LEC organization.
The team is currently in the process of finalizing their roster by securing a mid- and botlaner. Despite operating on a lower budget, Vitality is strategically blending both veteran and rookie players, emphasizing a focus on growth for the upcoming year. As of now, the following players are anticipated to be part of the roster:
