Jopa will be entering his second consecutive year with Vitality.Bee in the LFL
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, AD Carry Josip "Jopa" Čančar has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Vitality.Bee and will be staying in the LFL next season. Jopa’s deal has a special clause allowing him to still accept LEC offers. This clause was negotiated because Jopa is one of the botlaners tried out by GIANTX.
The Croatian player will most likely not follow the same path as his former teammates, Kaan "Naak Nako" Okan and Mateusz "Czajek" Czajka who were both promoted to Vitality LEC roster for next year. Jopa is the first player confirmed for Vitality LFL roster in 2025. This news follows the announcement of Danusch "Arvindir" Fischer's joining The Bees academic team as the head coach.
A promising year without success (so far)
While VIT.B didn’t have the greatest run to start the year, especially given the roster’s promises, they concluded it in a much better way. Jopa and Co started with a fourth-place finish in the LFL Spring Split and therefore missed the EMEA Masters. Then, the team got back on their feet for the Summer Split, where they ended in third place — behind the two French powerhouses BDSA and KCB — and qualified directly for the EM Main Event.
They qualified pretty easily (4-1) for the playoffs. After that, VIT.B made their way through the grand final by eliminating Barça Esports (3-0) and two LFL rivals — BK ROG (3-2) and Team GO (3-1). However, the team fell short against Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan’s — who just joined G2 according to sources — BDSA (1-3) in the grand final at the Munich Olympic Hall. The Bees will also play another final this year, for the Coupe De France at the Paris Games Week.
Jopa still had a good showing, especially in Summer where he ended in second place of all ADCs in LFL according to Sheep Stats, right behind the prodigy Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert. Known for his original pocket picks and botlane duo along with Paul "Stend" Lardin, Jopa also proved that his wide champion pool was a threat that got to be taken seriously by his opponents. His support in 2024 will, moreover, also be joining the LEC with Team Heretics according to sources.
