Team Phantasma won both GLL splits in 2024
Despite securing two GLL titles in 2024, Team Phantasma are set to undergo significant changes ahead of the upcoming Greek league season. According to Sheep Esports sources, three new players are joining the roster: toplaner Simon “Kio” Králik, AD Carry Nikola “Axelent” Petrusev, and support Giannis “Reaver” Dimitrelis. The organization will retain two key members: jungler Stéphane “Manaty” Dimier—who joined for the Summer Split and did not contribute to Phantasma's first title this year—and midlaner Petros “Peppe” Berdebes, a mainstay of the team since 2021.
This lineup exudes a sense of family reunion, centered partly around Manaty. The French jungler has previously played alongside three of his four future teammates. Before sharing the Summer Split with Peppe, Manaty briefly teamed up with Kio during two LFL matches at IziDream in Summer 2023. A few weeks later, he joined Klanik Esports for the conclusion of Summer 2023 in LFL Division 2, where Axelent was also competing. Although Manaty clinched his second career title with Peppe—his first being at DreamHack Tours 2019—his stints with the other incoming Phantasma players were less fruitful. His time with Axelent at Klanik ended with a sixth-place finish.
Another connection
Kio and Axelent also share a connection, having played together last year in LFL Division 2 at Montpellier HSC. After a respectable season—placing fourth in Spring and third in Summer—they remained teammates under TeamAxelent69 banner, competing in three tournaments: the Esports Balkan League Pro-Am 2024, which secured them qualification for the Sigma Cup 2024, and the T-esports Championship Season 3. Together, Kio and Axelent won the Sigma Cup by defeating... Team Phantasma in the final.
While neither Kio nor Axelent has experience competing in Greece, Reaver brings local expertise, having spent his budding career in the country’s lower divisions. The support player is set to make his debut in the Greek top division after a convincing year in GLL 2. Playing for SINS, Reaver reached the GLL 2 finals during the Summer Split, earning his promotion to the main league despite losing during the promotion tournament.
