German organization MOUZ has almost locked its roster for the 2024 Prime League. According to Sheep Esports sources, the team has reached agreements with top laner Fornoreason, jungler Alex234, mid laner Kaymin, and support Flay.

A Risky Approach

In a surprising turn of events, the organization which previously developed talents such as Kaiser, Inspired, or even Lyncas, is now pivoting in an entirely new direction as it heads into 2024.

Through this move, the team aims to break from its past endeavors and attempt to focus on rookie talents and part-time players. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, the team believes that this new approach is one which several teams will adopt in the future, notably due to the infamous "financial esports winter". At the moment, most teams in major ERLs operate on a full-time basis, something MOUZ is looking to challenge in the coming split.

With this roster, MOUZ is currently boasting one of the youngest line-ups in the Prime League 1st division, notably through the signing of 17-year-old jungler Alex "Alex234" Szymanski, who previously only had a short stint on DKB Diamonds RAW in the league's 4th division. To accompany him, the team also signed 20-year-old mid laner Armin "Kaymin" Kaymer, who is expected to be the team's most experienced member after spending 2023 with BIG. The team's top laner Felix "Fornoreason" Schummel will also have much to prove due to having very little experience in ERLs.

With plenty of questions revolving around the team's roster, one more mystery appears to revolve around its bot lane. While sources have indicated that the team has reached an agreement with support Simon "Flay" Menne, the duo's carry position is still undecided. Initially, the team was known to have been in talks with Kai "TLamp" Schwarzkopf, but sources indicate that talks between the two parties have been halted for now. While the player could still end up signing with the team, the situation at hand is still uncertain.

Expectations for this new team may not be high but the approach taken by MOUZ is set to be an interesting one for fans of the Prime League. With many new faces entering the league, the organization's path through the next competitive year will be one to follow closely.
