Serbian Organization Crvena zvezda Esports have finalized their first move of the offseason
After a year of mixed results, former LEC jungler Oskar "Selfmade" Boderek has found a new home with the League of Legends division of Crvena zvezda Esports, also known as Red Star Belgrade. Competing in the Esports Balkan League (EBL), the team boasts a storied history of regional success, recently reclaiming its throne as Balkan champions by winning the 2024 Summer Playoffs.
Seeking Former Glory
Once regarded as one of the greatest European junglers, Selfmade now seeks to reignite the spark that once propelled him to the top of the EMEA region. Last year, the Polish player competed in the LFL with Vitality during the spring split and later joined Twisted Minds in the Arabian League. Despite his efforts, Selfmade struggled to achieve significant results, finishing fourth in the LFL and third in the Arabian League before falling short in the EMEA Masters Summer LCQ.
Meanwhile, Crvena zvezda Esports (CZV) is riding high after reclaiming its regional championship. The Serbian team recently overcame Partizan Esports in a dramatic reverse sweep during the EBL Summer Playoffs, securing its first title in years. Though the team failed to leave a mark on the EMEA Masters stage, its domestic success has set the stage for a promising offseason. Selfmade now joins as the first addition to the roster, signaling the team’s intent to strengthen its lineup. His presence could serve as a powerful incentive for other talented players to join the project and defend CZV's title.
According to sources, before signing with CZV, Selfmade was also considered by UK-based organization Verdant to compete in the NLC. However, after the team was unable to secure its first-choice roster, Selfmade sought opportunities elsewhere, ultimately finding a new home with the Balkan champions.
