Serin already played at MSI in 2022 with Istanbul Wildcats
Midlaner Tolga "Serin" Ölmez has reached a verbal agreement with Team GO in the LFL, sources tell Sheep Esports on Saturday. Serin will take over the spot left by Dajor and is the fourth known player set to play with the Red Storm in 2025. Serin also had interest from Team Heretics in the LEC and Karmine Corp Blue in the LFL over the offseason.
He began his career in Turkey during the 2019 Summer Split in unusual circumstances, as his team, Team Aurora, finished 10th with a 2-16 record. Later, he joined the Istanbul Wildcats in the TCL, where he experienced the highlights of his career. Over two years, he won three splits and participated in MSI 2021, where they managed to take a game from Elyoya's MAD Lions. In 2022, they earned a single win against RED Canids but struggled at Worlds, finishing last in their Play-In group. Moving to Papara Supermassive in 2023, he only achieved third place in the Winter Split.
This year, he switched leagues to play in the Prime League for NNO Prime. Though he never reached the podium, he qualified for the EMEA Masters during the Summer Split, advancing through the LCQ but falling short at the Swiss stage against Macko and three LFL teams: BK Rog, Vitality.Bee, and Team GO. If you can't beat your enemy, join them.
The Red Squad is almost complete
With the Turkish midlaner joining the French organization, Team GO now only needs a toplaner and support to finalize its roster. While no confirmations have been made for these positions, Serin’s arrival follows Jean "Jezu" Massol's re-signing, Théo "Zoelys" Le Scornec's reported verbal agreement, Andrei "Xerxe" Dragomir's reported verbal agreement and now locked 100% with the Red Storm as his LEC clause has expired. The roster is being assembled with input from Aymerick "Hairost" Sergeant, who was reported in early October to be the team's new head coach.
