UNF0RGIVEN played for MAD Lions in the LEC, in 2022
The first player to join the 2025 roster of Movistar KOI is a familiar name to some fans of the Spanish organization: William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen. Before the merging of MAD Lions, KOI and Movistar Riders, the AD Carry previously played for MAD Lions in the LEC during the 2022 season, where he stood out as one of the best in his position. The Swedish player had an exceptional summer in the EMEA elite, earning a spot on the 1st All Pro Team. This time, Unforgiven has reached a verbal agreement to join the academy of the Spanish club for the next LVP season, sources tell Sheep Esports on Tuesday.
TCL Summer 2024 Champion
After spending 2023 competing across the Atlantic, Unforgiven was absent from the competitive scene at the start of the 2024 season. He made his return in the summer with Papara SuperMassive in the TCL. On a roster designed to defend SUP's domestic title from the spring, Unforgiven delivered solid performances. His team successfully retained the TCL championship but fell short at the EMEA Masters, where Papara SuperMassive were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Los Heretics.
After a strong but not extraordinary split, SUP opted to retain four of their players, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. Unforgiven is therefore the only member of the roster to depart Turkey. While the TCL Summer title remains Unforgiven’s sole trophy to date, his move to the LVP suggests that Movistar KOI is assembling a team capable of competing at the top level. The team needed some changes: after an exceptional 2023 season for Movistar Riders—where four players were promoted to the LEC, three of them to MAD Lions—Movistar KOI only managed a 6th place finish in Spring and 5th in Summer during the 2024 season.
