The Polish player stays in VCT EMEA, this time joining GIANTX
Grzegorz "GRUBINHO" Ryczko has reached a verbal agreement with GIANTX in the VCT EMEA, according to Sheep Esports sources. The Polish player comes off a rather disappointing stint with KOI in the same league, while GIANTX also struggled to perform, failing to qualify for the VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 Playoffs.
Climb the Tiers
Like many players now competing at the top level in Europe, Grubinho climbed the ranks through several layers of the VALORANT scene. The Polish player began his career in Tier C with Chakalaka, a Polish organization where he won a few tournaments and took part in the VCT Challengers. He then moved on to Illuminar Gaming and AWARIA, continuing to build his reputation. In 2023, he played for Anonymo Esports during VALORANT Challengers 2023 East: Surge Splits 1 and 2, finishing in 3rd and 4th place. Later that year, he joined UCAM Esports for the Crossfire Cup 2023, narrowly missing the title after a final loss to Giants.
A challenging stint at the top level
This already well-rounded journey led him to the VCT EMEA, where he joined KOI at the start of 2024. However, the year didn’t go as planned, with the team finishing last in both splits. 2025 hasn't brought much improvement either, as KOI continue to struggle in the league. As a result, both parties have parted ways, and Grubinho has now signed with another Spanish organization: GIANTX.
GIANTX haven’t been in great form either. After a difficult first year in 2024 where the organization failed to deliver convincing results, 2025 isn’t off to a better start. An early elimination in the Kickoff against Team Liquid, followed by a fifth-place finish in Group Alpha during Stage 1, has pushed the organization to make changes. At just 21 years old, Grubinho will look to make an impact with GX — and perhaps build the momentum the team needs to finally reach the playoffs. He'll be joining Karel "Flickless" Maeckelbergh and Eduard-George "ara" Hanceriuc, who are both officially signing with GIANTX, as previously reported by Sheep Esports.
