Top Laner Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen has reached a verbal agreement with Team Heretics to re-join the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC), according to Sheep Esports sources.

Coming in strong to the 2024 off-season, Heretics is making moves as it looks to strike an agreement with former Fnatic and G2 Esports top laner Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen. As told in another report today, the team has also landed an agreement with mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković tonight, aiming to re-unite the two players for the first time since 2020.

Prior to locking-in Wunder, Heretics heavily considered promoting top laner Alex "Myrwn" Villarejo to its starting line-up. Unfortunately, the move having taken too long and meeting complications, the team would ultimately move away from the deal and explore other options. Among other options was Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau, who eventually reached an agreement with FlyQuest in the LCS.

In addition to the two players, the team currently still holds jungler Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski under contract until the end of 2024. Together, the three players once formed the core of what used to be one of the most dominant teams in Europe. As a team, they won 4 LEC titles, the Mid-Season Invitational in 2019, and came in 2nd at the World Championship of that same year.

Currently, it is important to note that the team has not yet locked its plans for its Jungle and AD Carry positions, despite the aforementioned Jankos and Victor "Flakked" Lirola Tortosa being both under contract for the coming competitive season. As reported by blix.gg last month, the team also reportedly struck an agreement with support player Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser who will be joining along with Perkz from Vitality.

Future of former top laner Shunsuke "Evi" Murase remains unclear at the time of writing this article. The Japanese import remains officially under contract with TH through the end of 2024, according to the global contract database.
