ZE1SH sticks with the Karmine Corp project
Egyptian coach Ahmed "ZE1SH" EL-Sheikh has agreed to extend his contract for two additional years in Karmine Corp, sources told Sheep Esports on Sunday. Part of KC's Valorant team since the Stage 2 of the VRL 2022 circuit, his adventure with the blue wall will continue after a semi-satisfying 2024 season, where KC won the Kickoff but couldn't keep the momentum until the end, only placing top 6 in the end of stage 2, therefore failing to qualify for the Valorant Champions.
Loyal despite interest from Sentinels
Per sources, ZE1SH has received interest from Sentinels for their next season as Assistant Coach alongside current Head Coach Adam "kaplan" Kaplan. Additionally, he also got interest from VCT teams in the Asia. However, ZE1SH decided accepted to renew with KC before any of these teams could potentially send him an offer. With Head Coach Andrey "Engh" Sholokhov extension until 2027 announced in late june, this means that Karmine Corp will keep their coaching staff from this season to the next one.
However, the situation is different for their players, as Ryad 'Shin' Ensaad and Tomás 'tomaszy' Machado will not be part of KC's VCT roster next year, as reported by Sheep Esports this week.
After a first season that was a total disaster for the Kameto's team, the 2024 year saw KC establish themselves among the top tier of EMEA Valorant, although it wasn't enough to qualify for the grand stage in the end of the year, it still was a major progress compared to the team's tough debut. The coaching staff being kept is the proof that the process is being trusted by KC as they look upon the next season to make another step further in the league.
