The Saudi Duelist joins the active roster following his TSM departure
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, The Ultimates have a roster change in their VALORANT lineup. The organisation has signed Awab “Recoil” Hussain, formerly from TSM, as their new flex. He has joined the active roster to replace Khalid “KHaaLiD” Al-Talib, who left the team after almost 10 months.
Hailing from Saudi Arabia, Recoil joined TSM as a substitute on 28 November 2024, before being promoted to the main roster in late January, 2025. He competed throughout the VCT NA Challengers circuit, including Stages 1 and 2, until he was moved to inactive status on 11 June 2025 and officially left TSM on 17 June 2025. His signing with The Ultimates sees him return to the competitive scene after just one month with Berzerkers.
KHaaLiD out of active roster
KHaaLiD, who is also a Saudi national, joined The Ultimates in August 2024. He had previously played for Team Falcons until August 2024, before making the move. His departure marks the end of his nearly 10-month tenure with the team, during which he helped them compete in regional tournaments across the MENA region.
With Recoil stepping in, The Ultimates are replacing one Saudi Duelist with another, signalling continuity in playstyle and communication. Fresh from competing on the North American Challengers stage, Recoil brings recent high-level experience. His addition to the active roster sets the team up for upcoming qualifiers and regional matches.
