KC will have the opportunity to choose their first playoff opponent between G2 and MKOI
The second roadshow of the year is coming to an end, with Team Vitality narrowing the field of playoffs contenders. Only two spots remain, with three teams still in the race: Vitality, Team Heretics, and GIANTX. If GX manages to defeat Heretics this Monday at 5 PM, we’ll be headed for a three-way tiebreaker to determine who will be eliminated from the split. At the top of the standings, Karmine Corp avoided the G2 Esports trap and will finish alone in first place.
Another successful Roadshow
At the top end of the table, Karmine Corp confirmed its dominance by defeating G2 Esports in a high-intensity best-of-three. Despite dropping the first game, KC came back strong in Games 2 and 3 with clean execution, clutch performances from Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert and Martin "Yike" Sundelin, and full control of objectives.
This win locks the first place for KC this split with an impressive 8–1 record, securing them the privilege of choosing their first-round playoffs opponent between G2 and Movistar KOI. Fnatic, who finishes second, will face the team not picked by KC. With momentum on their side and the first seed secured, Karmine Corp now enters the playoffs as the clear favorite.
Meanwhile, Vitality did their part by closing out their final match of the split with a convincing 2–0 win over SK Gaming. They dismantled the Shroet Kommando with confidence, securing at least a three-way tiebreaker scenario with GIANTX and Heretics. The team now has to travel back to Berlin after their roadshow appearance in Évry, as the potential tiebreakers could take place as early as this Tuesday, May 13, at the LEC Studio.
The Bees’ victory also sealed the fate of the bottom three teams, cutting short the suspense for Rogue, Team BDS, and SK Gaming. All three teams are now guaranteed to finish in the bottom of the standings, which means elimination from the Spring Split.
Karmine Corp’s Roadshow in Évry-Courcouronnes comes to a close, marking yet another critically acclaimed success. Both the organization and participating teams celebrated the chance to perform on stage in front of a passionate crowd of 3,000 fans—an atmosphere that elevated the image of the LEC and League of Legends esports as a whole. Only one regular season day remains in this Spring Split, and by tonight, we may already know which two teams will claim the final playoffs spots.
For now, all eyes are slowly turning toward the Summer Finals in Madrid, the next and final traveling event of the LEC this season, expected to draw another massive audience. However, Riot Games has already hinted that the Roadshows will return next year, promising more live-action events for fans across Europe.
