Aiming for the Trophy
Adding two new members to its line-up, Movistar KOI is now aiming to improve on its Spring Season 6th-place ending. Parting ways with jungler William "NoName" Jones, the organization is now hard at work to prepare for the summer split after underwhelming results in the Spanish ERL. At this time, the fate of the two ex-KOI players is still unknown, though it is expected that both will be released and look for new teams.
During the first half of the year, MAXI competed for Case Esports, along with support player Rhuckz, who will also be joining him on this new adventure. Together, the jungle-support duo achieved a 3rd-place finish in the league's group stage, before eventually falling short in a 5-games series against GIANTX PRIDE in the playoffs, ending their split in 4th place.
Showing flashes of greatness last split, Movistar KOI, who held the 1st and 2nd place position all the way until Week 6 of the LVP Superliga Spring Season, are now hoping to redeem themselves with this new line-up. Retaining three of their former players and making strong acquisitions, the organization is now expected to be a top contender heading into the second half of the year.
