GIANTX has already had a difficult start to the season, finishing 7th-8th during the VCT EMEA Kick-Off, but the team has so far failed to improve in Split 1. Indeed, GX is currently 0-3 in the Alpha group after losses to Team Vitality, Team Heretics, and NAVI. The Anglo-Hispanic team is thus making two changes to its roster in an attempt to turn things around.

The team has decided to sideline Tomás "tomaszy" Machado and Emil "runneR" Trajkovski. The former Karmine Corp and Vitality players will be replaced by two players from UCAM, GX's partner club in the VCT Partnership programme, in the Challengers Spain. Karel “Flickless” Maeckelbergh and Hanceriuc “ara” Eduard-George are the two lucky ones who will have the chance to discover the VALORANT Tier 1 for the first time in their careers

It is important to note, however, that Flickless and ara are currently confirmed for the next two matches only. It remains to be seen what decision GIANTX will make regarding its roster for the rest of the season. Also, UCAM will not have to find a replacement for its VALORANT Challengers Spain team, as Flickless and ara will be playing for both teams.

The Spanish team will therefore be able to continue with its full roster as it attempts to qualify for the play-offs. On the VCT side, the two players will also be trying to help GIANTX get back on track, in a bid to clinch fourth place and a playoff spot.
