As of the time of this publication, there is no verbal agreement with any player to replace kamyk
This decision is likely to come as a surprise. According to Sheep Esports sources, VCT EMEA Kickoff finalist Team Liquid has opted to make a roster change, placing Maks "kamyk" Rychlewski on the bench. After a brief stint with Fnatic in 2023, the Flex Player made his debut as a full-time starter in the regional VALORANT elite this past January, following an exceptional year in VCL France with Joblife.
The Polish player was instrumental in securing both seasonal titles for JL in the French league, and his promotion to the top tier appeared well deserved. His arrival in VCT EMEA was widely regarded as a logical progression by analysts and fans alike. He subsequently joined Team Liquid alongside his former JL head coach, Ivo "LohaN" Albino.
First international event
After being knocked down in the second round of the upper bracket during the Kickoff event, Liquid embarked on a remarkable lower bracket run, ultimately reaching the grand final. With momentum on their side, Kamyk and his teammates seemed poised to restore Liquid to the top of the European hierarchy—TL had won VCT EMEA in 2023—but they faltered, suffering a reverse sweep against Vitality and falling 2-3.
Despite the loss, Liquid still secured a spot alongside the Bees at the Masters Bangkok, marking the first international tournament of the season and the first in kamyk’s career. However, Liquid was unable to advance past the Swiss Stage, finishing in the 5th-6th position. According to our sources, kamyk could however remain in the league as he’s in talks with multiple VCT teams. As of the time of this publication, there is no verbal agreement with any player to replace him at TL.
