Taehee “Flicker” Yoon promoted to the main roster, Minhyeok “Flashback” Cho returns after mental health break
Ahead of the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025 and VCT Pacific Stage 2, DRX have announced on Monday roster updates for their VALORANT team. The organization has confirmed that Taehee "Flicker" Yoon has been promoted from the DRX Academy team, and that Minhyeok "Flashback" Cho has returned to the main roster following a break.
According to DRX's announcement on X, Flicker demonstrated significant growth during his time with the academy team, as evidenced by his performances in the 2025 VCT Challengers Korea Split 1 & 2. Following internal scrims and discussions with staff, DRX decided to add him to the starting roster for the upcoming events.
Flashback's return
Flashback had been absent since April, in the middle of VCT Pacific Stage 1. In their statement, DRX acknowledged the community’s concerns and confirmed that Flashback had chosen not to disclose the mental health challenges he was facing until he reached his breaking point. Initially, the team was frustrated by the abrupt nature of his withdrawal, but they have since taken steps to support him.

Since May, Flashback has been attending regular therapy sessions with a qualified practitioner. In June, he met with the coaching staff and relevant team members to address his behaviour and rebuild trust. With the approval of all relevant parties, Flashback has officially been invited to compete alongside the main roster, the statement reads. DRX emphasised its ongoing commitment to player well-being and professionalism.
